Washashores was born on March 6, 1997 when editor Tony Kahn, invited me to do a weekly comic strip in the Provincetown Banner. His only proviso was that the characters and action be based in Provincetown, Massachusetts. I balked at first but I eventually agreed. 26 years later, I'm so glad I did!
