This is a very special vintage piece, circa 1989. There have been very few times in my art career when I commented directly on the HIV epidemic. "Waiting for the Angels", is one of those rare attempts. Pen & Ink on bristol, I created this piece when I was still very much a fledgling artist. It's not entirely squared up, the edges aren't exactly even, but all that is overridden by a soul I hope pulses through.
